This week, we had the absolute privilege of welcoming Scott Millar all the way from Glasgow! His visit was more than just a drop-in. It was a moment of inspiration and connection for the young people who have directly benefited from the trust’s support.
Touch of Love activities are structured in a way that gets every young person to understand they deserve a sense of belonging, support, and the opportunity to thrive. Thanks to the incredible backing of the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust, we’ve been able to run weekly activities that bring young people together, helping them feel connected, valued, and empowered.
Bringing the Support to Life
For many of the young people involved in our programs, it can sometimes feel like the organizations that fund these initiatives exist in the background. But Scott’s visit changed that perspective completely. Meeting a representative from the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust made everything feel real- reminding them that behind every donation, there are people who truly care.
The excitement was evident, and seeing the face behind the support added so much meaning to their activities. One young person even shared how the visit left them feeling inspired and hopeful, knowing that people are working hard to support them and their future.
A Memorable Visit Filled with Warmth
Scott wasn’t just a visitor - he was fully engaged. His warm, friendly, and approachable nature made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He didn’t just observe from the sidelines; he talked, listened, laughed, and connected with the young people, making them feel comfortable and heard.
This kind of interaction is so important. It reminds young people that they are not alone in their journey, that there are people who believe in them, and that they are worthy of opportunities and support.
More Than Just Support - A Lifeline
The work of the Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust goes beyond funding programs. It is about tackling child hunger, fighting isolation, and ensuring every child has a chance to build a better future. Their commitment to ending child poverty is not just a mission - it’s a reality they are shaping with every grant and initiative.
Our Deepest Thanks
To Scott Millar and the entire Scottish Children’s Lottery Trust team, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support. You are helping us build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community - one where no young person feels forgotten or left behind.
This visit was a reminder that when we work together, we create brighter futures - not just in words, but in real, tangible ways.
